Our Story

Moore Pi Bakery Studio started with just a simple love for sweet potato pie. The owner, Mr. Moore, grew up enjoying his mother’s sweet potato dishes which evolved into him learning how to make sweet potato pies in his adult years to enjoy for himself. He later began venturing out and making sweet potato pies for family gatherings, friends, and eventually events at his church and the responses were usually, “your pie was so good, can we buy another from you?” Not wanting to necessarily make a profit off of his pies, Mr. Moore continued to bake sweet potato pies and give them to those who asked. However, after several began insisting on paying him, he decided to start selling his pies. Mr. Moore began experimenting with making other delectable treats like no bake cherry cheesecake, apple pie, apple cake, pecan pie (at the challenge and request of his wife), and even savory dishes like quiche and chicken pot pies; all incredibly delicious and able to compete with the best of the best! Fast forward 15 years later, Mr. Moore was endeavoring to simply create a website as a means of managing the increasing number of orders he was receiving but God had a little bit more in mind. He was approached by the Directors of NarroWay Productions with an unbelievable opportunity to open a brick and mortar bakery, have access to a commercial kitchen to make his products, and work with local suppliers. After much prayer and consideration, the Moore’s decided to take the leap of faith and open Moore Pi Bakery Studio in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The Moore’s are deeply grateful to God for this open door. Their desire is to develop a reputation for making and selling high quality, homemade goods that satisfy and delight with every bite. Finally, you may be wondering about the name. Along with being a talented baker, Mr. Moore also happens to be a gifted stage and voiceover actor as well as an avid math enthusiast. So, there you have it, Moore Pi Bakery Studio!

“ I want people to feel special by the whole culinary experience they have by eating the foods we prepare, from the environment, to the service, to the music or any peripheral entities, to the name of the food and the food itself."
